About PCD Turning & Milling Inserts

All PROEDGE PCD inserts are supplied in the UN200 grade — a medium-grain PCD substrate offering the optimal balance of wear resistance and toughness for the widest range of non-ferrous and composite applications. The PCD tip is brazed or sintered directly onto a carbide body, maintaining full ISO form factor compatibility so PCD inserts fit directly into your existing ISO turning holders, milling cutter bodies, and grooving systems. Applications include high-speed aluminium turning at 1000+ m/min, silicon-aluminium (hypereutectic) alloy machining, MMC finishing, CFRP trimming, and copper alloy precision turning. Unlike coated carbide in these materials, PCD maintains a razor-sharp edge without BUE (built-up edge) formation.
