About Boring Bars & Internal Tooling
Internal machining demands a different tooling philosophy than external turning — vibration, overhang, and chip clearance dominate. PROEDGE supplies three boring bar families: steel shank (most economical, adequate to 5×D), carbide shank (vibration-damped, up to 10×D), and special small-diameter bars for bores from 5 mm. All three families use the same ISO inserts as external holders — CCMT, DCMT, TCMT, VCMT, WCMT, TNMG, CNMG, DNMG, WNMG — with A, B, and M clamping. Threading bars SINR/L handle internal thread turning from 5 to 50 mm bore diameter.
