About FINE-BEAM BTA System
The FINE-BEAM system is designed for applications demanding tight bore tolerances and excellent surface finish — typically IT7 or better. Using a single precision-ground blade with a wiper geometry, FINE-BEAM heads achieve bore circularity and surface finish levels that normally require a subsequent boring or honing operation. The system is particularly effective in difficult-to-machine materials such as austenitic stainless steel, duplex, and nickel-based alloys where built-up edge and work hardening are concerns. PROEDGE supplies complete FINE-BEAM head assemblies with guide pads and matched insert grades.
